what happened during the last 1.5 mths...

its been really long since i last updated my blog.... mainly due to problems signing in and also the long time it takes for my computer to load the pages...

during this one and a half mths, so many things occurred... first being the ending of my yr 1 exams... followed by a class gathering at aranda country club the 1day after our last paper. hahaha... subsequently, i went on a lawn bowling trip with the team to hongkong for the hongkong int'l mixed fours and the tiger bowls. it was an enriching experience for me as i witnessed both good and thrash players performing(i know its abit mean of me to say the latter...) and juz last weekend, there was the national triples competition. what started out as a good omen for the teams from SCC(3 teams made it to the q-finals) was spoilt by, i dare say, lack of professionalism and sportmanship from the umpire as well as one of the player from the opposing team. this led to arguments and also upset the players to the extent that their concentration on the game were being affected that they eventually lost the gamein a free falling manner after initially leading and tying the game on points even with the game at almost 3/4 completed! so it was more than upset for us on the whole as only my team(with wanhin and melvin) made it to the s-finals.

as i am penning this blog, again, many issues are rushing thru my mind... with the issue of management from the committee and also integrity among the youths. as of now, i have clearly witnessed the way my fellow youths were being discriminated for no apparent reason, i have resigned myself to following them if they intent to quit the team. i am confident that with discipline and continual interest in the game of bowls, even without attending the training, the youths will still be a force to reckon with!
