a tribute to my grandma
7.20am... my grandma completed her journey in life... ready to move on to another new world. All of us were more relieved than sad for her. because it was rather heart-wrenching to see her struggle with her heavy breathing ever since her health deteriorated 1mth ago. She also became bedridden after being admitted to the hospital due to the numerous tests and injections which took a toll on her frail body... after about 10days in sgh, she requested to be discharged. so we attended to it since there was nothing more the doctors could do. she returned home last mon and was put on respiratory support. After surviving 2 scares of gasping for breathe, she finally breathe her last this morning. To us, it was a blessing. Cos it pains all of us to see her continue to suffer... Also, we were glad that we managed to fulfil all her last wishes, thereby enabling to leave this world free of worries.
My grandma is a selfless person- one who always puts others before herself. she dotes on all her children and grandchildren... even when she was approaching the end of her life, she wanted to strengthen the bonding within the family by telling us to have rice balls(tang yuan), signifying togetherness(tuan tuan yuan yuan). because of this, she deserves our respect. will miss you, grandma. Rest in peace.
